Installation depends on your browser and operating system. You can always keep using the web editor in a compatible browser.

PREPARE ONCE, THEN TEST
The basic editor can work offline after its required files have been loaded and cached. Installation alone does not make every feature available without internet.
Basic text and table editing, local draft saving, already loaded drawing tools and browser printing may remain available. Downloading PDF needs its optional files cached first.
AI, Cloud, LIVE collaboration, URL import, email, account operations and device transfers use online services.
Local drafts are not automatically synchronized between devices or browser profiles. Clearing site data can remove them. Export important documents and use Cloud when you need online access elsewhere.
No. The web editor remains available. Installation gives you a convenient device icon and an app window where supported.

You can use basic editing and printing without an account. Cloud and account-based services keep their existing requirements.
The browser may not offer one yet, the app may already be installed, or your platform may require manual steps. Use the device guide; an absent dialog does not prove the app is installed.
Open the app while online to receive the current website files. Export important work before refreshing. After an update, prepare and test offline access again.
Use your browser's installed-app management or your device's app removal option. On Apple devices, remove the Home Screen icon or the Mac web app from Applications. Save important documents first; removing an icon does not always clear site data.
